About Me

EDITED-763.jpg

Hi! I'm Jennifer
- A Dog Trainer Based in Framingham -

I grew up in Sudbury and have lived in Framingham since 2016. After I graduated Bentley, I did my stint in the corporate world selling software and making powerpoints. In 2017, I got married and that same month, I took a big leap and quit my corporate job. (Thanks, Tyler!)

When I was a first time dog owner, I felt confused about how to get answers to questions about my dog's diet, behavior, and care. I started TheTreat Training with a passion to help people get the information they need to live comfortably with an animal in their home.

More About Me

My first dog, Sophi, was my inspiration for starting TheTreat. She needed to be trained to live happily in this world and I learned the most about myself when facing the adversity of owning a difficult dog. She was the reason I started taking classes, training more, and becoming more dog aware.

In a world where Sophi needed me, I need Max. Max is my constant reminder that training is a process and you are always growing. (And, that you should rest on the couch!) With a good bond, education, and discipline, you can do those things you want to do with your dog.

I am married to Tyler and we have two children, Peyton (5) and Killian (2). While I could chat about my kids for days, if I can say only one thing in this little box, it's that I get it! Max has knocked over my wobbly toddler! Max wants pets while I am building a fort. I walk with a dog and a stroller. I am a dog owner right there with you!

I graduated Bentley in 2010 with a BS in Marketing and Babson in 2020 with an MBA. I love learning and growing. My outlook is to find out where you are today and progress. I don't care where you are today, I care that we are on a path to develop. Dogs want to get better, I use their motivation as my own and keep pushing!

I seriously love what I do. I love helping people feel confident about training their dog and getting closer to that vision they had when they first brought a new dog into their family.

If I had a day off I would read and snuggle with Max all morning. Then walk and train with Max, and then read and snuggle all evening with Max!

I enjoy music. I listen to it for every mood. My favorite playlist is early 2000s Alt Rock.

If Tyler wasn't allergic, we would have a cat tomorrow.

I am always searching for the yummiest treats that get your dog moving! That's why they call me 'the treat lady'!

When you train with me, you are hiring a dog trainer and a support network. I am here to help you navigate through the challenges of owning a dog and enjoy the magical moments of a well trained dog.
